Translated as “Morning Dew”, Asatsuyu is a pure Sauvignon Blanc and the only white wine made by Kenzo Estate.
Resembling the blend of a vibrant red and a delicate white to create an elegant Rosé.
The gentian (Rindo in Japanese) is a purple flower evoking the color of this wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec.
The name of the town where Kenzo was born, Asuka signifies a bright future and hope for tomorrow. The first Cabernet Franc from the estate, this has been selected specifically for the vintage.
Meaning “Purple”, Murasaki is a robust blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot selected from certain vineyard blocks and specific barrels.
Named “Indigo” for a color whose significance is profound in Japanese culture, this is a Cabernet Sauvignon possessed of all the stature the wine is renowned for.
Representing the essential character of dozens vineyard blocks through the many and varied microclimates of the estate, Rindo is the singular expression of the entire vineyard. The varietal components of Rindo are fermented separately in small tanks and held in French oak barrels in the caves for twenty months. Blending these discrete flavors draws together the authority of the Cabernet Sauvignon, the suppleness of Merlot and the floral intrigue of Cabernet Franc. All together, these elements comprise a harmonious wine with vitality emphasized in preference over brute power.
