Translated as “Morning Dew”, Asatsuyu is a pure Sauvignon Blanc and the only white wine made by Kenzo Estate.
Rindo
The gentian (Rindo in Japanese) is a purple flower evoking the color of this wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec.
Murasaki
Meaning “Purple”, Murasaki is a robust blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot selected from certain vineyard blocks and specific barrels.
Ai
Named “Indigo” for a color whose significance is profound in Japanese culture, this is a Cabernet Sauvignon possessed of all the stature the wine is renowned for.

As the barrels are sampled during their aging, confidence in the quality of the wines grows. And when it is time to rack them prior to bottling the final selection is made to balance one wine with another, eventually arriving at a blend whose core strength derives from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. |
