Translated as “Morning Dew”, Asatsuyu is a pure Sauvignon Blanc and the only white wine made by Kenzo Estate.
Rindo
The gentian (Rindo in Japanese) is a purple flower evoking the color of this wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec.
Murasaki
Meaning “Purple”, Murasaki is a robust blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot selected from certain vineyard blocks and specific barrels.
Ai
Named “Indigo” for a color whose significance is profound in Japanese culture, this is a Cabernet Sauvignon possessed of all the stature the wine is renowned for.

ASATSUYUsauvignon blancPurity and varietal characteristics are emphasized rather than a flamboyant winemaking signature; six months aging in small barrels and the suppression of malo-lactic fermentation retain the integrity of unique terroir and the brilliance of this grape. Cellar this wine for at least two years to develop the full weight on the palate. Complex baking aromas will mingle with more exotic floral components and a honeyed character will emerge. |
