Comprising 3,800 acres in the eastern mountains above Napa, Kenzo Estate is a pristine natural preserve at the origin of the watershed.
Three-percent of the Estate is dedicated to vineyards. All five red Bordeaux varieties and Sauvignon Blanc are represented.
In pursuit of excellence, Kenzo Estate retains Master Vineyard Manager David Abreu and the refined winemaking talent of Heidi Barrett.
Several dozen blocks constitute nearly 100 vineyard acres on Kenzo Estate, leaving the vast majority of the land untouched. Protected by a perimeter of peaks, the vineyards are situated at 1,500' elevation where summertime temperatures are suppressed by the marine fog pulled in to the valley from the bay. Harvesting later than vineyards up-valley where temperatures are often 10 degrees hotter, Kenzo Estate wines are defined by the refined cool-climate character of the grapes.
