IN THE VINEYARD

winter

Harvest has ended and the vines have gone into dormancy. Leaves have changed color and fallen off. As the New Year has passed, we begin to prune the vines in preparation for the coming vintage. Cane pruning and only leaving on an appropriate amount of nodes will keep our crop sizes low and maintain the high quality that Kenzo Estate has been recognized for. Dormancy will last through the winter months as we eagerly await spring and the coming bud break, giving us the first signs of what the vintage will look like.
